Sodium (potassium) butyl xanthate is a flotation reagent with strong collecting ability, which is widely used in mixed flotation of various non-ferrous metal sulfide ores. The product is particularly suitable for chalcopyrite, sphalerite, pyrite flotation. Under certain conditions, it can be used for preferential flotation of copper sulfide ore from iron sulfide ore, and also for flotation of sphalerite activated with copper sulfate.
