After more than a year of joint research and exploration by Zijin Lithium Industry Kesi and Fujian Yujia Ao Breeding Technology Co., Ltd., the new technology to increase the evaporation rate of brine has been expanded on the 3Q salt field in Argentina, and gratifying results have been achieved. The evaporation rate of brine has doubled and is expected to increase by more than 2 times.
The successful test of the new process of lithium industry is a major breakthrough in the technical bottleneck of lithium extraction from salt lakes. On the basis of the original facilities, only a small amount of equipment needs to be added to greatly improve the brine evaporation rate, greatly increase the brine treatment capacity and increase the output of lithium carbonate.
It is reported that the traditional salt lake lithium drying process has the advantages of low energy consumption, good ecological and environmental protection, low investment and production costs, but a large area of evaporation pond needs to be built. Low natural evaporation efficiency and long production cycle are the common key problems that plague the global salt lake lithium extraction.
